Gary W. Facker, 53, of Havana, died at Havana Health Care Tuesday, June 2, 2009.

He was born Feb. 15, 1956 in Peoria to Arnold and Laurine (Wayne) Facker. He married Velda Martin, daughter Uvadell and the late Mervin Martin of Fish Hook, in July 1998 in Havana.

Mr. Facker is survived by his wife, Velda of Havana; three step-sons, Danny, Donnie and Darren Saxbury; four step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dianne Beiermann and Shirley Monk, both of Peoria and Vickie Pratt, of Havana; and one brother, Charles Facker of Coventry, RI. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Facker liked to fish and hunt. He had worked for River City Construction for the past 20 years and was in the Carpenters Union Local #183.

A memorial service were held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana Sunday, June 7, at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Paul Homan will officiate.
