Durward Saxbury 1916-1971

The Press Journal, Louisiana MO, March 11, 1971 - Durward Saxbury, 55, of Overland, formerly of Eolia, died Wednesday in the John Cochran Veteran’s Hospital in St. Louis. He had been ill for a long time.

Funeral rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Sterne Chapel. The Rev. Cecil Cox will officiate. Burial will be in the Eolia Cemetery. Members of the Quaite-Davis VFW Post 3132 will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Saxbury was born Jan. 3, 1916, at New Canton, Ill. His parents were William and Gretta Hansen. He received his discharge from the service Jan. 1, 1946.

Mr. Saxbury had been employed in Overland as a maintenance man.

His wife, Ella M. McKean of Overland, survives along with brothers and sisters.
