James (Cloyd) Saxbury 1891-1976

The Bowling Green Times, Bowling Green, MO, July 28, 1976 - Louisiana - Services for James Saxbury, 85, of Louisiana, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Collier Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Saxbury died Wednesday, July 21, 1976 at the Moore-Pike Rest Home in Bowling Green. He was born April 19, 1891 in New Canton, Il., a son of James M. and Sophia Peterson Saxbury. He married Augusta Elzora Mitchell June 15, 1919 in Louisiana. She survives.

He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church and had been employed by Stark Bros Nurseries until his retirement.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Martin (Annabelle) Taylor, Joliet, Il.; a foster-daughter, Mrs. Bob (Hazel) Jennings, Bowling Green; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert; and a daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Vivian Ray) Bryant.
