John F. Saxbury 1915-1981
Hannibal Courier Post, September 12, 1981 - Services for John F. Saxbury Sr., 65, of the Hannibal Care Center, will be 10 a.m. Monday at the O’Donnell Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Trevathan will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Park.
Mr. Saxbury died at 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1915 in New Canton, Ill, to J. T. and Della White Saxbury.
Surviving are two sons, John Saxbury Jr. of St. Louis and Donald Saxbury of St. Louis, one sister, Mrs. Opal Parks of Hannibal, two grandchildren.
He was a retired custodian for the Hancock School District in St. Louis. He was a member of the American Legoin Post No. 55 and the V. F. W. He was a veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday at the O’Donnell Funeral Home. Military services will be 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
