John T. Saxbury 1909-1980

Hannibal Courier Post, April 26, 1980 - Services for John T. Saxbury, 71, of 611 South Hayden St., will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the O’Donnell Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Rache will be in charge. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Saxbury died 4:15 a.m. Friday at his home. He was born April 4, 1909 in Hannibal, the son of Albert E. and Dora Rogers Saxbury. He was married August 1926 to Agnes Costello in Hannibal. She preceded him in death Oct. 5, 1977.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Saxbury of St. Charles, Mo.; Paul Saxbury, Hannibal; one daughter, Mrs. Judy Morris, Center; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Saxbury was a retired employee of the Hercules, Inc.,in Louisiana. He was a member of the Hannibal Veterans of Foreign Wars and served during World War II.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
