Mrs. Augusta (Mitchell) Saxbury 1903-1985

The Bowling Green Times, Bowling Green, MO, August 7, 1985 - Rites for Mrs. Augusta Elzora Saxbury, 81, of Bowling Green were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Cecil Cox officiated with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs. Saxbury died Friday, Aug. 2, 1985 in Moore-Pike Nursing Home where she had resided since Oct 2, 1980.

She was born Nov. 14, 1903 in Pittsfield, Il, to Charles Lee and Adelia Young Mitchell. She was married June 15, 1919 to James C. Saxbury in Louisiana. He preceded her in death July 21, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Saxbury lived in Louisiana before moving to Bowling Green in 1970.

Survivors are two daughters, Annabelle Tyler of Lockport, Il., and Hazel Jennings of Bowling Green, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Rev. Lewis Mitchell of Quincy, Il., and Rev. Lowell Mitchell of Holdman, Wi., and two sisters, Marie Davis of Hillsboro, Il, and Lorene Latta of Hebers Springs, Ar.
