Mrs. Dora Belle (Rogers) Saxbury 1878-1961

Hannibal Courier Post, March 24th, 1961, Hannibal, MO - Mrs. Dora Belle Saxbury, age 82 years of 611 Hayden St. died last night at 9:45 in her home. She was born April 15th 1878 in Pike Co IL a daughter of John and Virginia Hall Rodgers.

She was married to Albert Saxbury who preceeded her in death March 1934.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Hazel Behme and a son John Saxbury of Hannibal MO. Five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Iona Baker of Mt. View California, Mrs. Letha Munch, Mrs. Rena Carpenter and Mrs. Nancy Doty of Elkhart Indiana.

She attended Broadway Methodist Church and was a member of Ruth Rebeckah Lodge for more than fifty years.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Smith funeral Home in charge of the Reverend John W. Ellis. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
